This past Saturday, Distraktion had the pleasure to lend their floor to the likes of Mr. Robert Joffred or known to the 8-bit world as Ro-bear. We spent a solid 24 hours on the song below and feel it's truly a great representation of one of the most fun collaborations to take place within the confinements of this dorm room. We hope you enjoy the jam as much as we did; We proudly present to you... "from somewhere, a transmission"

Stigmata

Although Stigmata is a great movie, it wasn't really a scary horror flick. It was about a beautician who undergoes stigmata, through the spirit of dead Priest who was translating the St. Thomas Gospels. The movie seemed to have a hidden agenda and tried to bring light on the St. Thomas Gospels and the stories behind it. The movie itself had awesome cinematography, and we loved the effects. The idea of stigmata is freaky as hell. We do recommend the movie, just not if you are looking for a scare.

Hunt for the Scariest Movie Ever Made
Andrew and Nick of the distraktion society are on a mission to find the scariest movie ever made. After many web searches, it seems to be that the original 1973 The Exorcist movie is the scariest. Although it was an awesome movie, and freaky at parts, we didn't find it at all scary. The Thing and The Shining also got a lot of attention for being the scariest movie ever, but they are also kinda dated. And let's be honest, with today's technology and special effects, we are spoiled, and it's gonna take a lot more than that to scare us. Next on our list, having decided to stick with the religious path, we are watching Stigmata Patricia Arquette, Gabriel Bryne, and Jonathan Pryce. Track our mission here on the blog, and please leave comments with suggestions of what you found to be scary.
